Air Fryers
I do like my chips and always make my own. In fact, I like a lot of fried food.

Are these contraptions any good? I've bought many a gadget in my lifetime only to use it once and then never bother again.

Re: Air Fryers
If you stick two spuds in the microwave for about 7 - 9 minutes, and then in the air fryer for 10 - 15 minutes, you get perfect Baked potatoes in less than 30 minutes

Re: Air Fryers
Replaced my oven with one that has a built in air fryer. Didn't want to clutter my already small and cluttered kitchen space. Probably not the cheapest option but is probably the most used function of the oven. I am eating more chips now too which is probably not a good thing.

Got one about 6 months ago and love it.

Get a Dual (2 trays) one so you have the option to cook 2 different things at the same time.

The most well known and expensive Air Fryer is the Ninja one but the alternatives from the likes of Salter work just as well and you can pick these up for around £100 from most supermarkets and places like Home Bargains & B&M.

Well worth buying one and as mentioned by others it’s more cost effective and quicker to use.

Manuel.you are probably right re the actual.cooking time but I was factoring time to.pre-heat the oven too.whuch was cut by using air fryer so certainly useful.when I only had half an hour to prep food for some of my service users. In a slightly different job now and much less time pressure

I think the saving promoted, is electricity cost as opposed to time.

Anyway, it's Saturday, enough of Fat Alf's Fried Food Diet and back to the football.

Got one, love it.

Chicken and beef come out great, pork chops not so much but pork belly is brilliant.

Got a ninja for a housewarming, recommended .

Re: Air Fryers
Debs - Agree they are good and convenient and like you say more healthy as no oil. However, in many cases they aren't quicker though. Example - a pork chop or chips take approx 20-25 mins, you can fry them in less time. A baked potato takes around 45 mins.

Alfs - You won't regret buying one, defo worth it.

The thing hailes from West Cork probably has something to do with the potato famine.
